We are currently looking for a dynamic and dedicated Radiographer to join our busy Imaging Department.The post holder will be responsible for performing a range of diagnostic radiographic procedures as required throughout the Hospital in general x-ray, theatres and Fluoroscopy.You will also be expected to participate in the Governance of the Department in areas including Risk Management, Health and Safety and Audit activities.Located in leafy St John's Wood on the Jubilee line, minutes from Central London, our luxury private Hospital has an international reputation for providing the highest quality of care to patients and is unique in that all profits fund our onsite Hospice, St John's.Am I the right person for this Senior Radiographer?Diagnostic Diploma of College of Radiographers or BSc HonsEvidence of CPD2years post qualification experience in diagnostic imagingCurrent HCPC registrationEvidence of decision making skillsExcellent communication & interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently & accuratelyExcellent presentation skillsWhat would be my responsibilities as Senior Radiographer:Assess the clinical justification of Radiography referralsAct as a point of advice for imaging referrersAct as a point of advice for patient enquiries regarding their referralAcquire diagnostic images and physically position the full range of patient presentationsOperate advanced software on specialised Radiological equipmentParticipate in the organisation, co-ordination and prioritisation of the flow of work within the departmentEnsure that a high standard of patient care and high professional standards are maintained throughout the Imaging departmentParticipate in a CPD programme for all staffReview images and in liaison with Radiologists ensure that supplementary imaging procedures are consideredBe familiar with the range of technical applications available on Imaging equipmentPerform intravenous cannulation and manual injection of contrast agent on completion of training and/or hospital competencyWork as part of a team to ensure effective communication and delivery of care.Liaise with other departments/wards within the hospital and various external sources in order to provide aAdapt and quickly respond to changes in service, patients or departmental need.Trouble-shoot equipment faults and make suitable provision for the service in the event of equipment failureDemonstrate a wide range of problem solving skills involving allocation of staff due to absence and associated adequate service provisionWhy apply for this role?At our organisation we are passionate about providing our employees with a supportive and engaging environment.
