You will integrate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that shielding issues are identified across projects and that consistent approaches are adopted and timely support provided to all relevant project stakeholders.My client would be keen to speak to candidates with the following expertise:· Degree in a relevant scientific or engineering technical discipline· Minimum of five years’ experience within the nuclear industry as a shielding practitioner· Excellent working knowledge of radiation transport codes including some, or all, of the following:· Monte Carlo codes (MCBEND, MCNP) and· Point kernel codes (RANKERN, Microshield)· Working knowledge of the SCALE suite of codes (particularly for fuel inventory and activation analysis) would be desirable as would some understanding of criticality issues· The ability to obtain suitable security clearance for regulated sectors would be requiredMy client is offered a competitive salary with an exceptional benefits package, apply now to explore this opportunityCompany informationAt First Recruitment Group we understand just how important it is to secure the right people.
