Job Title: Senior Radiation Protection ConsultantLocation: Flexible, UK + Hybrid Working Arrangement Compensation: Attractive Salary + Benefits Role Type: Full time / Permanent Role ID: SF57318At Cavendish Nuclear we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Senior Radiation Protection Consultant.The roleAs a Senior Radiation Protection Consultant, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will support the Cavendish Nuclear Radiation Protection Team Lead in providing technical solutions for various projects.Day-to-day, you'll act as the technical lead on Radiation Protection for projects, including supporting and mentoring junior staff supporting the project.Contributing to project scheduling, including definition of relevant deliverables, identification of dependencies and estimating resourcing, time, and cost requirements.Providing competent guidance and advice on radiological safety to ensure legislative compliance and adoption of industry best practice.Supporting multi-disciplinary teams across design and operational projects and ensuring that procedures are correctly applied to technical activities.Co-ordinating the production of radiological protection documentation such as Normal Dose Uptake Assessments, Radiological Zoning, Radiological Risk Assessments, ALARP Assessments, Operating Instructions and compliance statements.This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home. This role is adaptable and can be delivered from various locations in the UK alongside home working arrangements.Essential experience of the Senior Radiation Protection Consultant:Proven experience in a radiation protection role.Qualifications for the Senior Radiation Protection Consultant:Must be a RPA2000 Certified Radiation Protection Adviser.Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
