Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a small specialist niche Engineering design and build contractor who deliver projects for both municipal and industrial clean water, and wastewater treatment. They specialise in the Mechanical & Electrical products and services for water clients throughout the UK. Due to continuous growth and project awards, they are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor. �

You will be joining a small commercial team where you will be responsible for the training and support of an Assistant QS.�

You will be working on a flexible hybrid basis with requirement to travel into the Simonstone office one or two days a week and their head office in Skipton 1 day a week.

You will report directly to the Commercial Manager your and role and responsibilities include.

• Ensure commercial compliance of current contracts, protecting the position of the company.


• Provide the delivery teams with commercial support (Change management process and contractual/commercial advice).


• Production and monthly updating of the project out-turn forecast and incoming/outgoing cashflow forecasts with PM support.


• Preparation and production of monthly commercial reports in line with company procedures.


• Management of Subcontract accounts including preparation of Payment Certificates and administration of change management.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management preferred but not essential.�


• Practical application of the NEC form of contract is desired but not essential.


• Strong commercial awareness.


• Water industry preferred but would consider construction and civil engineering backgrounds.
