The Opportunity

Our client has been awarded their biggest ever order; a £10m+ drainage package as part of a £100m highways scheme in Leicestershire.

Due to the size and scope of the project, the Commercial Manager requires a reliable Senior Quantity Surveyor to ensure successful self-delivery of the project.

Location:

Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire (1 day per week WFH)

Role and Responsibilities:

• As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for contract negotiation, compensation events, CVRs, cost management, producing BOQs, cost planning and cost reporting etc.
• As a headline project, you will have the support of the wider commercial team including a Quantity Surveyor, Assistant Quantity Surveyor and Trainee Quantity Surveyor, and as such there will be an opportunity to impact the careers of junior staff through mentorship.

Essentials

• 4+ years of quantity surveying experience.
• Experience in self-delivery NEC civil engineering contracts (ideally highways).
• Understanding of MOM and CESMM measurement methods.
• Ability to effectively negotiate with clients and key stakeholders.
• Full UK Drivers Licence

Desirable

• Relevant degree in quantity surveying and member of RICS/ICES.
