Senior Quantity Surveyor (Kitchen & Bathroom projects experience)
£70,000 - £75,000 + £5k car allowance and fuel card
Monday - Friday, 08:00am-17:00pm
Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, your main responsibility will be to evaluate and bill our clients' work using either NHF or customised Schedule of Rates. You will be expected to convert Work in Progress (WIP) into invoices promptly while adopting a strategic approach to maximize value and margins on assigned contracts.
You will be working for a social housing contractor that's been operating within the construction industry for over 20 years, specialising in planned and refurbishment works for notable clients.
Requirements:
* Qualification within Quantity Surveying
* Proven track record delivering multiple Kitchen & Bathroom projects
* 10+ Years commercial experience working within the social housing / maintenance sector (NHF / Schedule of Rates)
* Professional, motivated, strong work ethic, team player & IT literate
* Excellent time management and communication skills
Responsibilities:
You will support to the Divisional Manager and project team throughout the entirety of the projects. Ensuring they are delivered on time, in full and within the agreed budget.
The successful candidate will achieve this through:
* Maximising the successful running and commercial control of each project to achieve optimum commercial return through the submission of monthly applications
* Managing projects through accurate forecasting and controlling project costs
* Commercial reporting: take responsibility for commercial reporting on assigned contracts, including forecasting and cost value reconciliations (CVRs), where applicable
* Ensuring that projects meet the legal and quality standards required in line with contract documents
* Meeting clients to determine their needs and discuss any areas that need revising for price or feasibility, as well as securing any farming opportunities
* Responsible for producing and presenting monthly commercial reports, works in progress (WIP) review meetings, to senior stakeholders
* Support the management team: provide commercial details and information to support the divisional and contract manager as required
* Supply chain management
