Salary:��50,000 - �60,000 per annum

Our client is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their projects around London And Essex.�



Role Overview:



As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at you will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control, procurement, and commercial management.



You will work closely with the project teams to ensure that budgets are maintained, costs are controlled, and value for money is achieved while upholding our commitment to quality and excellence.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.

  • Procure subcontractor packages and negotiate contracts to ensure competitiveness and value for money.

  • Monitor and report on project costs, identifying any variances and implementing corrective actions.

  • Assist with RAMS where necessary

  • Collate sub-contractor bid packages to enable a complete tender submission, document all sub contractors bids

  • Prepare and submit valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts.

  • Provide commercial advice to support project delivery and resolve commercial disputes.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.



Qualifications and Experience:




  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

  • Knowledge of the required NEC3 Contracts

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor - Construction projects from tender to completion.

  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control.

  • Be able to travel to site for surveys and site meetings

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Proficient in relevant software tools (e.g., Excel, cost management software).

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
