Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor



Location: Office-based

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in quantity surveying, with the ability to remeasure accurately and efficiently. This is an office-based role, providing an excellent opportunity to work in a professional and supportive environment.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Conducting detailed measurements and remeasurements of project work.

  • Preparing and managing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.

  • Conducting cost analysis and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Preparing and submitting valuations, claims, and final accounts.

  • Liaising with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost management.

  • Assessing and managing risks associated with project costs.

  • Providing regular financial reports and updates to senior management.

  • Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

  • Mentoring and supporting junior quantity surveyors within the team.



Requirements:




  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Strong ability to remeasure and manage project costs effectively.

  • Excellent knowledge of construction contracts and relevant legislation.

  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite.

  • Exceptional analytical and numerical skills.

  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is desirable.
