Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a small specialist niche Engineering design and build contractor who deliver projects for both municipal and industrial clean water, and wastewater treatment. They specialise in the Mechanical & Electrical products and services for water clients throughout the UK. Due to continuous growth and project awards, they are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor for their head office in Skipton (hybrid).You will be joining a small commercial team where you will be responsible for the training and support of an Assistant QS. You will be working on a flexible hybrid basis with requirement to travel into the office a couple of days a week. You will report directly to the Commercial Manager your and role and responsibilities include. Ensure commercial compliance of current contracts, protecting the position of the company. Provide the delivery teams with commercial support (Change management process and contractual/commercial advice). Production and monthly updating of the project out-turn forecast and incoming/outgoing cashflow forecasts with PM support. Preparation and production of monthly commercial reports in line with company procedures. Management of Subcontract accounts including preparation of Payment Certificates and administration of change management.QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE: Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management preferred but not essential.
Practical application of the NEC form of contract is desired but not essential. Strong commercial awareness. Water industry preferred but would consider construction and civil engineering backgrounds.
