Job DescriptionSenior Quantity Surveyor Site Based Working Shift : 9-5 (Monday to Friday) We are seeking for a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join one of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the quantity surveying function, including cost estimation, cost control, procurement, and contract administration. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities: Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on drawings, specifications, and other relevant information. Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase and identify areas where savings can be made. Prepare and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. Manage the procurement process, including obtaining quotes, issuing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries. Review and approve subcontractor invoices and payment applications. Provide advice on contractual matters and resolve disputes with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Prepare and maintain accurate records of all project costs, including variations and change orders. Prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts for management review. Mentor and supervise junior quantity surveyors as required. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects. Chartered membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) preferred. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including FIDIC and NEC. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as CostX or Candy. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
