Vacancy SummaryJob Title: Senior Quantity SurveyorJob Type: PermanentJob Ref: #894Location: East SuffolkStart Date: ASAPSalary: c£70k-£75k basic plus competitive packageCompany & Project: Apple Technical Recruitment are working with a successful Main Contractor operating in the Education, Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Leisure sectors, who are seeking to recruit an experienced and talented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a new project award, c£50m+ in value.The opportunity is to work alongside a talented Managing Quantity Surveyor on a key major project for the area, offering invaluable commerical experience for a Quantity Surveyor from a Main Contractor background living in Norfolk or Suffolk.Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for leading all commercial management functions on the project, starting at procurement stage - including but not limited to; measurement & valuations, applications for payment, reconciling accounts, dealing with sub-contract orders and enquiries, through to practical completion of the project and settling final accounts.The projected profit, cash-flow and margin realisation is the key responsibility for surveyors in this business, as such it is expected that the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong track record in each of these areas including excellent negotiation skills and a proactive approach to commercial management.Desirable Experience:Minimum 5 years+ experience as a Quantity Surveyor working for Top 100 Main Contractors.Good knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts would be advantageous.Previous experience procuring subcontractors.Strong track interpersonal and communication skills.Previous Roles: Senior Quantity Surveyor OR Project QS OR Quantity Surveyor OR Project Quantity Surveyor OR Senior QS.Qualifications & Skills: Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or comparable.Application Process: If you would like more information on this Senior Quantity Surveyor position or any other vacancy please email your current CV through to Jess Quinn; where it will be reviewed and you will be contacted within 48 hours if your CV is of interest.Services advertised by Apple Technical Recruitment are that of an Employment Agency/Business Job Info
