Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a main contractor based in Swansea, they undertake projects in the residential and commercial sectors. They're seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the commercial management of their projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of quantity surveying within the Civil Engineering sector, ensuring the profitability and success of their projects.
Responsibilties:
* Overseeing the commercial aspects of projects from inception to completion.
* Preparing and managing budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports.
* Conducting cost analysis and value engineering exercises to optimize project costs.
* Managing subcontractor accounts and negotiating subcontract agreements.
* Identifying and mitigating commercial risks.
* Liaising with clients, consultants, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and resolution of commercial issues.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 8 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the Civils Sector.
* Previous experience working for a Developer or Civil Engineering contractor
* Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles and practices.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Proficiency in relevant software applications such as MS Excel, MS Project, and quantity surveying software.
* Experience managing JCT and D&B Contracts
