Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor to support a major infrastructure programme in Scotland. The work you do will give you exposure to senior stakeholders and project teams and you will be part of a highly skilled and ambitious team. As a construction quantity surveyor, you will be responsible for estimating, monitoring, and managing the costs associated with construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are completed within budget and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Your expertise in cost estimation, contract administration, and financial management will be instrumental in the successful execution of construction projects.Some of your responsibilities will be:Provide commercial advice to the project teamLead the review of compensation eventsLead the assessment of the application for payment and forecast to completionSupport the weekly and monthly project progress meetingsLead the input of figures and supporting narrative for the monthly Project Management Review (PMR) meetingPrepare any Defined Cost audit queries for the AuditorProvide pre contract support to the project team as and when required population of invitation to tender documents, tender assessment spreadsheets and analysis of tender returnsWhat We NeedAn understanding of NEC contract management and familiarisation with CEMARSupport of Early Warnings and compensation eventsExcellent organisation and engagement skillsWe’d like you to be a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)Security RequirementsYou must have, or be eligible for, SC clearance. Due to the nature of this project, only British born nationals will be considered.LocationHybrid - you will also be required to spend time at the office in Central Glasgow.Our employees are the heart of everything we do.
