Our client is a leading recycling and waste management business speicalising in large construction projects across the south of England and they are now looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:
* Providing additional operational support where required for bid submissions, advising on tender adjudications and ensuring contract programmes are developed with any risks identified and mitigated up front.
* Reviewing contracting workload weekly and planning the resources required for each project including sub-contractor allocation and performance
* Ensuring site teams are uploading and maintaining all relevant information needed for reporting and record keeping and that progress reports are being produced whilst assessing and evaluating performance
* Providing technical and contractual support on site when needed and ensuring all works carried out comply with all current HSQE legislation and company management systems and policies.
* Providing visible HSQE leadership whilst promoting and progressing safe working practices across all operations to minimise incidents and or injuries, whilst contributing to and influencing changes to company policies or procedures and monitoring compliance
* Ensuring project forecasts are developed with commercial team and that the commercial team and client are aware of any potential claim or variation
* Reviewing contract performance with the commercial team to ensure financial targets are met on all projects, whilst supporting with contractual or legal matters which may occur
* Managing the availability and recruitment of the workforce and site management teams to ensure the capability exists to meet business requirements, whilst managing and motivating teams, setting clear expectations
* Ensuring all operatives and site staff are fully trained and competent to complete their daily tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
* Developing, managing and maintaining relationships with key clients, industry bodies and other external organisations to ensure that the company reputation is maintained and enhanced
* Preparing and developing concise operational reports which provide a true overview of operational and contractual performance on a monthly basis.
