Reference: VAC-340670_1705078592 Posted: January 12, 2024Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who is looking for the next step in your career?Whether you're looking for a step up, a better commute to work or just a new challenge, this is a great opportunity to join an established business who are known for investing in their staff.The company are an established and respected main contractor who work on a variety of projects in the commercial, industrial, residential and high end leisure sectors with projects ranging in value from £20m - £100m.The company are offering an excellent basic salary & package as well as excellent opportunities for career progression in a growing construction company.The role - Senior Quantity SurveyorAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be based out of the office in Warrington and will be reporting into the Commercial Manager overseeing the project and be responsible for all commercial duties and be the point of contact for junior staff.The initial project is a £50m student accommodation block in the centre of Manchester and you will be responsible for the following duties:Preparation of bills and/or schedules for quantities of materials, labour and services required in the construction and refurbishment of building works in relation to both Estimating and Post contract duties.Preparation and valuation of progress and submission to client.Sub-contract procurement including sending out enquiries, collating prices, negotiation, order placement.Sub-contract valuations and payments in connection with any contract.Preparation of internal cost reporting measures.Advice when required on cost management, or value management.Maintaining quality control procedures.Health & Safety management.Undertaking all tasks in a timely fashion and as required by management.Ensure cash flow is maximized.Required skills and knowledgeAt least 5 year's experience in a Project/Senior position.Have a strong Main Contractor background.What's on offer?The company are offering an excellent basic salary and package as well as a fully funded continual professional development program to help you achieve any further qualifications you may need to progress your career, including the RICS as well as:Competitive salary & profit share schemePrivate Medical, Health and Wellness programme, 26 days holidays + bank holidays and much more.How to apply?Please apply directly to this job ad or for more information about the role please call the F&R (North) office on 01204 554 884 and ask for Tom.
