I am looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to work in the South Hampshire area. The perfect applicant will have knowledge and experience working on projects within wastewater or water treatment.

Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: South Hampshire

Contract: Freelance

Rate: �500-�530 per day- PAYE

When: ASAP

Duties will include:

  • Liaise with the design team, construction team and supply team on a regular basis to investigate and control cost
  • Highlight when correspondence with the sub-contractors and main contractors is required
  • Monitor and manage any changes that may occur throughout the project
  • Keep compliant with commercial records and that they are obtained correctly
  • Ensure the project cost, and value is up to date and recorded correctly
  • Manage budgets and forecasting correctly
  • Working collaboratively with different teams to produce the best result
  • Supporting Quantity Surveyors and Assistant Quantity Surveyors with their roles
  • Contributing positively to a healthy work environment

Skills Required:

  • Having a strong background of working within the water industry
  • Have a certificate of Qualification for Quantity Surveying with a recognised institution
  • Must have wastewater experience
  • Have a degree within the Quantity Surveying Sector
  • Valid Full UK Driving LIcence
  • Safe delivery of water projects to time, cost, and quality
  • Be confident working in a team and adapting to more responsibility
  • NEC-3 contract experience
  • Experience managing others within a team

Skills Desirable:

  • Ambitious and dynamic personality
  • Experience of working on Water Industry construction projects, preferably with experience of large and complex deliveries
  • Someone with a commitment to Right first time
  • Ideally have 5 years water
