Title - Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location - Maccesfield
Salary - �55,000 - �70,000 plus car allowance

Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor

  • Provide effective commercial and contractual support to operations, adhering to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with clients' surveyors on financial matters to deliver precise forecasts of final accounts.
  • Maintain sub-contractor accounts and collaborate with the project team to ensure up-to-date financial information.
  • Generate accurate internal reports for the Commercial Manager within specified timeframes, covering Cost Value Reconciliation (CVRs), cost plans, cash flow, and revenue forecasts.
  • Ensure the timely submission and agreement of applications, variation details, claims, Final Accounts, and other relevant documentation.
  • Effectively manage cash flow in alignment with agreed-upon terms.
  • Review the sales ledger to guarantee the accurate posting of transactions.
  • Conduct risk and value management, along with cost control measures.
  • Perform monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting final costs and sales.
  • Assist operational teams with various duties as required periodically.

Requirements of the Senior Quantity Surveyor

  • Possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) or a Degree in quantity surveying, building surveying, or a related construction field.
  • Have verifiable commercial experience.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in administering widely-accepted contract forms, particularly the NEC suite of contracts.
  • Exhibit experience in quantity surveying for Mechanical & Electrical aspects within a building services context.
  • Display commercial acumen, numerical proficiency, risk aversion, and the ability to accurately forecast costs and sales.
  • Be a multitasking, self-motivated, and energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable work approach.
  • Possess IT literacy and proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
  • Have experience with systems such as CPA, Coins, or similar.
  • Demonstrate successful relationship-building skills among the company, clients, and subcontractors in the engineering construction industry.
  • Exhibit a solid understanding of the implications of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ideally, have experience in projects related to the design and construction of cleanrooms/controlled environments, particularly within the pharmaceutical and/or other sectors.
