Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager
Location: Central London
I am currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor/ Commercial Manager to join one of our close clients for the final stages of a £15mil residential project in Central London. They are looking for someone who has extensive contractual knowledge and is familiar with dealing with subcontractor packages & claims.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the contractual aspects of the project, ensuring adherence to all relevant agreements and regulations.
Manage subcontractor packages, including procurement, negotiation, and administration.
Handle claims and disputes effectively, utilising your extensive contractual knowledge to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout all stages of the project lifecycle.
Provide strategic guidance and support to the project team, leveraging your expertise to drive cost efficiency and project delivery excellence.
Requirements:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of successfully managing large-scale residential projects.
Extensive knowledge of construction contracts and regulations, with a focus on subcontractor management and claims resolution.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
Membership in a relevant professional organisation (e.g., RICS) is desirable.
