Senior Quantity Surveyor - civil engineering

Danny Sullivan Group are currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a role with a Tier 1 contractor based out of their Manchester office. Will be primarily working on a large project in Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire some 16 miles from Manchester. Role would ideally suit a candidate based around the Greater Manchester area who is looking for long term work in the area. Hybrid working arrangement available with site visits once or twice a week.
Ideal candidate would have Tier 1 experience as well as excellent knowledge of NEC contracts (option E and D) as well as strong civil engineering background.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will monitor contract progress against the agreed programmes, control costs against agreed budgets/end cost forecasts, prepare and agree interim valuations and final accounts, prepare and agree any necessary claims for reimbursements and for loss and expense and will liaise the customers and third parties on all commercial matters.
It is the Senior Quantity Surveyors responsibility to evaluate potential implications for
dispute resolution and to contribute and develop as appropriate quality, health & safety, welfare and risks in accordance with the companies management systems.
