Senior Quantity Surveyor – Bristol

We celebrated our 40th year anniversary of trading last year and have a proven record of accomplishment in high-performance project delivery.An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. The role will be full-time on a permanent contract, in a fast-paced environment, based at our Bristol site offices. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, and Commercial Director, your duties will include the following:Duties include:Review of sub-contractor quotations and placement of any ordersPreparation of pre-commencement contribution planSubmission of monthly interim valuationsSite measurementReview of subcontractor applications for payment with the issue of any appropriate payment, pay less notices and certificatesPreparation of monthly cost reports including forecastingReview and action of any contractual correspondenceSubmission of final accountsUnderstanding of standard forms of construction contractsAttendance of site meetings and internal team meetingsClient and design team interactionMentoring and coaching of a junior commercial member of staffRequirements and skills:Educated to degree qualification in quantity surveyingConversant in software packages such as Microsoft excel, word and outlookMain contracting experienceTeam playerExcellent communication and organisational skillsHigh professional standards aligned with honesty and integrityFor further company information or to discuss a specific project requirement, please get in touch by clicking the button below.
