Then look no further because here it is!About the role You will work within our highly experienced Public Health Intelligence team, utilising new and emerging technologies to process and analyse data from various sources. The post holder will manage and mentor a team of analysts providing intelligence to support Lincolnshire County Council, the Integrated Care System, and other organisations working to improve health and reduce health inequalities in Lincolnshire. This will include leading on the creation of intelligence that illustrates trends and patterns in disease, mortality, service use and risk factors, producing evidence which supports critical decisions about shaping and commissioning of services, funding allocation, and preventative actions. Continued training and opportunities to join professional networks and forums to aid personal development will be offered. About you Ideally, we are looking for candidates educated to a degree level or equivalent; however, we would also consider those with the relevant experience gained in either a personal or professional capacity. You will be able to understand and be interested in social and environmental factors affecting population health. We are looking for someone who is proactive, works autonomously, and has a passion for the application of high quality health intelligence in improving population health and reducing inequalities. We need someone who has:
highly developed management, team working, and communication skills. excellent data and statistical analysis skills. high IT literacy and proficiency (e.g., Excel, R, Power BI, GIS, and other analytical software). experience in interpreting and analysing data sources of intelligence considering the limitations of your data and confounding factors. experience developing customer-facing intelligence products including reports, slide decks and dynamic dashboards.
the ability to develop and maintain strong, positive working relationships based on professional integrity with providers and partners.
About the team The Public Health Intelligence team bring together analysts, knowledge, and technical officers. We are part of the local authority's Public Health function, but our role and influence are across the local health and care system. We take a leading role in integrating new analytical technologies and software into our everyday work, enabling us to provide the correct information in a suitable format to the key decision-makers across the health and care system.
