About the position of
Senior Propositions Development Manager
You will be responsible for researching Mortgage Lending opportunities to determine whether they are commercially viable. To work closely with the Insights team inputting into the company's primary research (e.g. customer and broker surveys, focus groups and data analysis) and ensuring insights and actions arising are managed to conclusion, including identification of opportunities or trends and making recommendations to the Propositions Director and Head of Proposition Development to meet Commercial objectives. You will undertake secondary market research to identify product and proposition opportunities. Charged with completion of the annual assessment of our client's Target Market. You will manage the end-to-end development of complex Commercial initiatives including business case formation. This is a leadership role which supports the motivation, facilitation and coordination of the development effort across the Commercial portfolio, ensuring high-quality standards are adhered to across the team.
Responsibilities for the position of
Senior Propositions Development Manager
Responsible for working closely with the Insights team inputting into primary research e.g. surveys, and focus groups.
Responsible for undertaking secondary market research to identify product and proposition opportunities.
Charged with ensuring insights and actions arising from primary and secondary research (regardless of who has carried them out) are managed to a conclusion, including making recommendations and presenting opportunities to the Propositions Director and Head of Proposition Development to meet Commercial objectives.
Carry out assessments of the company's Target Market at least annually, and review promptly upon the identification of any event that could materially affect the potential risk to the target market
Develop a plan to deliver the product roadmap for the existing proposition and future product development that aligns with and delivers our client's objectives
Evaluate and develop compelling propositions for our customers
Manage a portfolio of discoveries from inception to launch, to determine and quantity opportunities, options and solution design to meet Commercials objectives and ensure deliverables are capable of achieving the defined benefits
Business case formation including expected ROI and benefits realisation planning
Effective end-to-end planning, including identifying resourcing required
Maintain documentation to a high standard and support the Proposition Development team in achieving these standards
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure critical stakeholder interests are met
Fulfil Stakeholder expectations and requirements through considered Stakeholder Management activities and interactions
Provide high-quality delivery status reporting which meets the needs of the audience e.g., Board, Investors, Execs
Produce logical and engaging meeting material, pitched at the appropriate level e.g., Board, Investors to support effective decision-making
Effective work allocation and all associated tasks required to manage product development activity successfully
Work closely with the Head of Development to set the standards across the team, continuously enhancing the approach and ways of working and engagement;
Provide leadership for the Development team to meet goals and milestones
Maintain documentation to a high standard - setting the standard for the wider team
Provide coaching to Analysts to meet quality standards, demands and milestones
Challenge Proposition Analysts to ensure the approach is appropriate to achieve the best outcomes for the firm
Experience required for the position of
Senior Propositions Development Manager
Must have excellent organisational skills
Proven track record in planning with the ability to develop and deliver activities against a realistic plan within a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
Experience successfully managing others
Good knowledge of the residential, buy, and specialist markets essential
Good understanding of the broker and intermediary lending channels
Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills
Good knowledge of Consumer Duty
Experience inputting into primary research activities e.g. surveys, focus groups.
Experience undertaking secondary market research to identify opportunities.
Seeks opportunities for collaborating and sharing best practice
Experience managing and influencing stakeholders
Awareness of the changes and development in regulation and legislation and their impact on the business including Anti-Money Laundering, Data Protection Act, Financial Conduct Authority, Consumer Duty
