LEAD TRANSFORMATION IN CONSTRUCTION PROCUREMENT EXCELLENCE

LOCATION: KINGSTON UPON THAMES, SURREY (SOME EXPENSED SITE TRAVEL)

SALARY: £70,000 - £75,000 + £5,000 CAR ALLOWANCE

Senior Projects Procurement Lead, Role Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of procurement strategies for construction and hard services projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and organizational goals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a small team of high-calibre project buyers and take responsibility for their training and development as they grow to procurement manager and beyond
  • Team Growth: Grow your team as the organisation grows with a view to reaching 5 heads by this time next year
  • Supplier Relationships: Cultivate strategic partnerships with suppliers and contractors to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery standards in construction and hard services projects.
  • Innovation Drive: Champion innovation in procurement processes and technologies, driving continuous improvement and delivering measurable results in construction projects.
  • Client Engagement: Collaborate closely with clients to understand their unique needs and deliver tailored solutions that exceed expectations in construction procurement.

Senior Projects Procurement Lead, Required Background:

  • Extensive experience in construction or facilities procurement, with a track record of success in delivering projects in the built environment sector.
  • Passion for procurement and supply chain management, with a focus on driving efficiency, cost savings, and value creation in construction and hard services projects.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Relevant qualifications in procurement or construction management are desirable.

Other Factors Relevant to the Job:

  • Flexibility to travel to client sites and offices as required.
  • MUST HAVE RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK
