Date Posted: Friday 17 May 2024, Ref: 31Our client are one of the main brands in the global Energy market and are currently executing one of the largest and most complex portfolios of decommissioning projects ever undertaken.The portfolio involves engineering challenges, the development of pioneering new technology and a high degree of integration between Operations, Wells, Facility and considerable subsea element at the forefront of the industry.Currently sought after is an experienced Senior Project Planning Engineer to support the Decommissioning Project Services Lead and drive the successful execution of two decommissioning projects and additional minor portfolio scopes.The 2 key decommissioning projects and associated subsea infrastructure have received regulator approval January 2024.Key Responsibilities:Work within, and help advance, company Health & Safety, Environmental & Quality policy.Planning the overall schedule monthly progress update, forecast, critical path and trend analyses.Provide regular and comprehensive schedule status reports to Project Management.Review scope change requests for the impact on schedules and the critical path of the project.Prepare reconciliation between earlier schedules and the current schedule.Consolidate the impact of approved changes and any deviations from the key project targets and milestones, including productivity monitoring and “What if scenarios” to aid project management decision-making.Regularly track the schedule risk mitigation efforts, the criticality of the main paths to completion, float consumption and the release of the 50/50 schedule contingency. Instigate, develop and control the planning and progress monitoring procedures to ensure that each element of the project performs the processes in a timely and consistent manner.Contribute to the development of project contract strategies documents.Ensure that all contract key dates and milestones align with the overall integrated plan.Deliver close-out data to enable knowledge retention (lessons learned, project data compilation) at completion of work Technical toolkitTo be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:5-10 years planning experience in Oil & Gas Industry executing upstream and downstream projects, or equivalent industry projects.Qualifications: Engineering/Business/Technical Degree, Diploma or equivalent.Mastery of Primavera (P6) is essential.Expert in use of & utilising MS Office packages to provide insights (specifically Excel and PowerPoint).Experience in resource loadings, constraints and schedule optimisation.Adhere to the requirements of the Project Management Framework and planning procedures.To enquire further about this role, contact PDi for a confidential discussion
