This an opportunity to work on projects at the advanced edge of technology and in an environment which supports professional development and personal growth.What you’ll do as a Senior Project PlannerBe accountable for the quality and integrity of the Project Controls on Projects/ Programmes through the application of consistent processes, methods, governance and provision of guidance to the wider project team.Working as part of an multi-disciplined project team, drive and promote optimal schedule quality and best practice management techniques including application of schedule risk analysis at all stages of the project lifecycleProvide Project Controls support to the establishment and management of activities in the bid phase to ensure best practice is followed, risks managed and schedules can transition to execution with minimal impactManage the integrity of

schedules to ensure dependences are clearly identified and risks managed/identified within the Leonardo project schedule Identify and manage Schedule Risks, working proactively with the project team to implement mitigation plans/ corrective actions and present outcome to Senior Management Conduct what if analysis/ scenario planning to drive decision taking and risk mitigationEnsure Project Controls metrics and measures (inc EV) are consistently applied, understood and relevant action taken to drive required outcomes and achievement of Company standards/ Project ObjectivesCoach and train other members of the Project Controls function as requiredActively contribute to Project and Business area Project reviews (Demand Reviews, Project Performance Reviews, Schedule Reviews etc) through delivering the Project Controls inputs and leading on these aspects in the reviewsIdentify, support and drive continuous improvement initiatives working both across the function and within the business areaBuild and maintain strong working relationships with all functions across the Business Area/ Projects in order to influence project activitiesWhat we need from you:You really must have:Comprehensive project Controls/ planning experience (5 years +) with proven expertise in all aspects of planning, project controls and project management methodologies (inc AGILE) across Projects of varying value/ complexityExpert User in Primavera P6 and/or SAPBreadth of experience in all parts of lifecycle and experience in the phases of Initiation, planning and executionExperience in application of Schedule Risk Analysis including identification, methods of analysis and recommendations for managementCommercial and financial acumenAbility to engage and influence cross-functional teams and recognise and positively interact with stakeholders from project to senior leadership.Works independently, in compliance with all procedures and able to recognise appropriate escalation scenariosExperience of coaching, mentoring or team leadershipIt would be nice if you had:Holds APM Project Controls Foundation and Practitioner Level Certification With a company funded benefits package, a commitment to learning and development, and a flexible approach to working hours focused on the needs of both our employees and customers, a career with Leonardo has never offered as many opportunities or been more accessible to as many people.
