The Company

A national construction contractor with regional offices in the Yorkshire and Midlands area, who provide clients with a diversity of work across a number sectors from; residential and leisure to hospitality and student accommodation. They have an impressive private and public portfolio of build and refurbishment projects across the region with values ranging from �10m - �60m+

The Project

As a highly experienced Senior Project Manager you will initially oversee a �30m new build healthcare project in West Yorkshire. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful delivery of the project from conception to completion while collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

  • Experience working on healthcare projects is not essential however is highly advantageous; all applicants with extensive experience within the industry working with tier 1 and tier 2 contractors are of interest
  • Proven history of successfully delivering projects in a similar position with build values in excess of �20m
  • Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working with a leading construction contractor

The Role

Duties

  • Chair regular meetings
  • Develop and manage project budgets
  • Carry out health and safety procedures
  • Supporting and leading the project team
  • Foster a collaborative and positive working environment
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project team members
  • Assemble project teams and assign tasks to team member
  • Monitor progress of project team by holding reviews regularly
  • Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues
  • Conduct inspections to verify work quality and compliance with specifications
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Ensure that all parties involved in the project adhere to contract terms and conditions
  • Make certain all employees under your control develop and progress within the business
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure construction standards are met
  • Planning and overall control of all site operations to ensure that the project targets are achieved
  • Impose strict snagging, handover and aftercare measures to achieve zero defects upon completion
  • Monitor and control of sub-contractors on site and developing subcontractor relationships to ensure the successful delivery of the project
  • Organising and overseeing the site team and all construction procedures to ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Work closely with internal teams, external consultants, and client representatives to establish clear communication channels and foster collaboration
