Role: Senior Project Manager (Heavy Civils)
Location: Ware, Hertfordshire

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager with experience in heavy civil engineering works to join a leading name within the UK's infrastructure sector. The Senior Project Manager will be working closely with the Project Director and taking control of the day to day delivery of a £30m project in Ware, Hertfordshire.

The Senior Project Manager will be working closely with the site team, commercial team, planners, stakeholders and the client and ensuring the project is delivered to specification and programme. Some of your key duties as the Senior Project Manager will include:

Leading and developing a multiskilled team both across this project and future large construction and infrastructure projects
Take control of all aspects of the project from design and initiation through to planning, construction, commissioning and handover
Build trusting and lasting relationships with clients and other stakeholders
Ensuring accurate record keeping across the project
Maintain a focus on project health & safety
Working closely with suppliers, subcontractors, external engineers and consultants throughout each stage of the project

Senior Project Managers considering this opportunity will need to have previously worked for a main contractor on heavy civils projects utilising lots of steel, concrete and earthworks. Candidates that have previously worked on projects including energy from waste, Waste Transfer or Recycling facilities will be at an advantage. Excellent communication skills, good contract knowledge and a driven approach will also be important.
