JOB TITLE:
Senior Project Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for projects from kick-off to close-out for the enhancement and ongoing operational readiness requirements of assets for offshore brownfield projects
Work in compliance with the Company’s Business Management System
Provides leadership and sets the tone of execution excellence for offshore brownfield projects
Lead transition of offshore brownfield projects from the front-end to the execution phase
Work with the operational and functional teams for scope identification, progress reporting and change management
Use of recognised project control tools to monitor and manage progress and track multiple activities
Collaborate and manage the Supply Chain to maximise the value opportunity
Participate in management meetings and influence decisions where appropriate
Manage and report progress to stakeholders conducting status reviews
Manage project direction for any evolving or emergent requirements
Ensure learnings from previous offshore brownfield projects are captured and shared with the project organisation
Ensure asset knowledge management is identified and optimises project delivery
Supports clients to navigate their technical and commercial assurance requirements
Identify contract resources to meet gaps in resources as required to execute project
Selection and management of nominated contractors and any other specialist or specific contract used for delivering the planned programme of work
Ensure delivery of fit for purpose solutions in a safe, environmentally sound, cost-effective, and timely manner
Ensure offshore brownfield project execution in accordance with the appropriate MoEC Process
Ensure compliance for project against legislation, standards, specifications, and the asset performance standards
Active participation, promotion and application of the Petrofac Safety and Environmental policies
Apply risk, issues, and opportunities management in accordance with Petrofac Procedures
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Develop and manage funding strategies and ensure budgets are in place to properly execute the project
Deliver requirements to support the Company RRC process for offshore brownfield projects and bids
Manage and control budgets in line with contractual requirements during the execution of work
Correctly interpret risk and criticality through a project lifecycle
Identify, supplement or prioritise resources required to control and mitigate risks and improve performance
Test and analyze data and project information to define issues and problems
Determine the causes of problems and generate ideas to resolve
Select the best solution to mitigate risks and problems considering expectations and priorities
Implement solutions and measure effectiveness
Experienced Project Manager with history of delivering multi-discipline engineering, onshore/offshore brownfield and onshore downstream projects is critical
A demonstrable history managing the full lifecycle of a multi-discipline offshore brownfield project from FEED through detail design, fabrication, installation and commissioning
Strong practical knowledge of fabrication / construction and offshore brownfield execution (for manned and unmanned facilities)
Thorough knowledge of and experience in delivering subsea tie-back projects
Fully conversant in the Field Development (inc. Environmental Statement) process with delivery experience
Experience of engaging with relevant Regulatory bodies (i.e. NSTA, BEIS/OPRED and HSE etc) and managing those relationships
Knowledge of a range of technical functions including subsurface, drilling, subsea and operations
Understanding of energy economics, finance, and business strategy
Knowledge of risk and assurance management principles, including decision & risk analysis principles.
Thorough knowledge of the regulatory requirements which govern energy operations on the UKCS
Project management experience with or on behalf of a client organisation
Good working appreciation and application of project controls and reporting
Demonstrable experience within a dynamic and successful project environment
A motivated initiative-taker who is proactive, flexible, and able to respond positively to challenge and ad-hoc requests
Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with ability to balance strategic considerations with attention to detail
Ability to contribute to the team, but equally work on own initiative with minimum supervision
Ability to draw upon own experience to make effective decisions
Comfortable working with uncertainty and in a dynamic environment
Strives for high standards while finding solutions and constantly seeking new and better ways to work
Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Ability to challenge others, articulate in a clear, concise, and constructive manner
Produces work of accurate and presentable quality in the appropriate formats
Good organisational skills, SMART working methods and can demonstrate personal effectiveness in previous roles
Work with clients on development and optioneering of design solutions through to Concept Select of the preferred option
Must be able to plan and prioritise within project constraints
