The successful candidate will have 1 direct report and will support the end-to-end delivery of projects including systems implementation, regulatory changes and operational process change. There may be the expectations to work non-typical office hours to support software upgrades and releases.Responsibilities for the position of Senior Project ManagerDelivery across the full Project LifecycleInitiating projects; taking the initial sponsor mandate and setting up the requisite governanceManaging resource, time and people to ensure all tasks are agreed up front and are completed according to the project planLooking after the full project portfolio and reportingUndertaking Business Analysis - eliciting business requirements from a stakeholder to understand what the issue isClearly summarising project information in a succinct manner and presenting effectively to the project stakeholdersLiaise effectively with all project stakeholders, including senior stakeholdersManaging a portfolio of projects simultaneously, whilst continuing to drive all projects forward to deliveryReporting to the Programme Director and working collaboratively with the Project teamLead, coach and develop team members to ensure competence and help them achieve their objectives and potential.Identify and prioritise training needs to meet business requirements.Experience required for the position of Senior Project ManagerLine management experience is preferred, but not essentialMust have an understanding and/or experience of working on technical IT and Cyber Security projectsExperience of working with a mortgage lender is desiredExperience working with 3rd party systems providers5+ years of experience as a Project ManagerPrince 2, APM or Agile PM qualifications would be desired but not essentialExperience in using systems such as MS Office, MS Projects and JIRAFamiliarity with UK Financial Services is desirableFor more information regarding the role of Senior Project Manager please contact usStellar Select is acting as an employment agency and is a corporate member of the RECDue to a high volume of applications, we will only contact you if your application has been successful.
