Senior Project Manager - Software Development

Join Propel Tech as a senior project manager and take the lead in driving our projects to success! Salary £50,000 - £65,000 pa Flexible hybrid working - you decide where you work best. Once onboarded our employees are only required to be in the office circa. 2 days per month to attend in person collaboration sessions 10% working time to use on learning & development A range of perks & benefits including private medical insurance, company share scheme, buy/sell annual leave, plus many more About the roleAs a Senior Project Manager at Propel Tech,you'll lead and manage the end-to-end project lifecycle and coordinate the delivery of support and maintenance services, for clients such as SSE and JCB.You will define project scope, goals, and deliverables, and develop comprehensive plans that include schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.Collaborating with cross-functional teams, both internal and external, you will work together to achieve project and supportobjectives.Monitoring progress and tracking milestones will be a key responsibility. You will conduct regular programme and projectreviews, evaluate performance, and implement corrective actions when necessary. Identifying and mitigating risks will be second nature to you, as you proactively resolve any issues that may arise.At Propel Tech, we value effective communication and collaboration. As a senior project manager, you will foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting open communication and engagement. You will act as the primary contact for clients, taking proactive steps to understand their needs, manage their expectations and ensure their ongoing satisfaction with our services.To excel in this role, you should have; Proven experience as a project manager or similar, in a B2B client-facing role. Strong leadership abilities, able to motivate and manage project teams with ease. The ability to demonstrate how you have used your problem-solving and decision-making skills to tackle complex challenges. Strong organisational skills, which you will use to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring quality and accuracy. Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Technical skills gained whilst acting in a business analyst capacity would be highly advantageous. A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and/or a background in a software developer or similar technical role, would be advantageous. Familiarity with Jira and/or Confluence would be a plus.
