Job DescriptionJob RoleCurrently recruiting a number of Project Management opportunities based across the West Midlands (Birmingham/Derby) to work on a high-profile Rail project. The Senior Project Manager works in accordance with D2 values and is responsible for working independently delivering limited-complexity1 work packages and/or projects from early design and development to construction and hand-back in accordance with agreed scope, timescales and budget.Essential Skills:Attained a minimum of the Association for Project Management (APM) Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalentAttained a minimum of an Associate membership with the APMAble to demonstrate competence for role as per the requirements of the D2 Project Management Competence FrameworkSuccessful experience of independently project managing at least one limited-complexity work package and/or project within the relevant sector in accordance with the sector’s project management lifecycle and governance requirements.Team manager capable of working within a teamGood interpersonal and communication skillsGood commercial and financial understanding and knowledgeExperience of managing projects in accordance with Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations and industry practicesExperience of managing and applying Construction Design & Management (CDM) Regulations 2015.Responsibilities:Independently project manage at least one limited-complexity work package and/or project in accordance with the sector’s project management lifecycle and governance requirements from early design and development to construction and hand-back.Manage multi-disciplinary multi-organisational project teams that may or may not be geographically spread to ensure the project is a success. This includes but not limited to: design, environmental, consents, commercial, procurement, estimating, programme controls, engineering, lean, survey, construction, health and safety; and others to identify and deliver solutions to meet the client requirementsManage the delivery of projects in accordance with agreed/contracted scope, timescales, budget.Support with aligning the project(s) with the overall D2 business strategy and processes.Provide a professional, first class, consistent and effective project management service to the client, including project monitoring and reporting systems in accordance with the client requirements.Support in establishing and implementing change management against project baselinesSupport managing stakeholders and ensuring project solutions meet their needs where possibleManage the input of constructability experts into the design process to ensure buildability of the project(s) including sufficient engineering accessAdhere to D2’s values and build effective working relationships with internal peers and colleaguesComply with D2 policies and procedures, including but not limited to D2’s governance surrounding how it delivers its projectsBenefits:Competitive salary (Salary dependant on experience level)Hybrid working26 days holiday + option to buy/sell 5 daysBenefits package including private medical care/health insurance/life insurance
