Senior Project Manager (Construction Consultancy)

Hays Property and Surveying are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join a leading construction consultancy based in Salisbury.The company is a well-known consultancy that provides multidisciplinary services across the construction industry. Their Project and Cost Management department has secured long-term work with a long-standing client who operates within the Defence Sector across the UK. For this reason, the business is now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to be based at a key location near Salisbury.The role is being offered with a flexible working arrangement, with time anticipated to be split between the client's offices, site and home.Your new role As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a variety of construction related projects on behalf of the client from initial feasibility through to completion. Projects will range in size and value, but will include the new build, fit-out and refurbishment of offices, laboratories, research facilities, industrial buildings and on-site accommodation.Key responsibilities include -Manage and deliver a variety of construction projects from feasibility to completion.Undertake feasibility assessments, contract procurement, project planning.Manage project budgets, cash flow forecasts and financial reporting.Undertake contract administration, progress reports and work alongside the Principal Contractor.Hold and lead on project progress meetings and updates with clients.Ensure compliance is met in relation to health and safety and environmental legislation.What you'll need to succeed Professional Membership preferred i.e RICS/CIOB/APMExperience of working within a construction consultancy or client side environmentExperience of working within the Defence Sector.A proven track record of delivering a variety of construction related projects from inception to completionStrong project management skills, including contract administrationWorking knowledge of NEC3 contract forms.Excellent interpersonal skills and commercial acumenMust be a UK Citizen to be eligible for security clearance criteria What you need to do now For more information regarding this, or any other opportunity, please contact our Southampton based Property and Surveying specialist Jamie Poll on 07800755744.
