JOB DESCRIPTIONWood is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer in Aberdeen. This is a full time role that will be based at the client office in Aberdeen City Centre.The Technical Life Extension Lead supports the Engineering & Asset Integrity Team, reporting to the Engineering Lead. They are responsible for managing the delivery TR548 Triton Technical Life Extension Project in line with the study execution plan, statement of requirements and Dana's management systems. The role will direct the study according to the pre-determined phased approach, which in essence defines the applicable degradation mechanisms, remanent service lives and actions/resources required to achieve forecast CoP scenarios. The role will manage sub-contraction of degradation assessments ensuring work progresses inline with specified requirements to the satisfaction of internal and external stakeholdersRESPONSIBILITIESThis role has the following responsibilities and outputs
• Manage delivery of assigned engineering studies and projects;
• Update to project Statement of Requirements, as required as the project develops;
• Delivery of work within assigned budgets, identification of cost savings, provision of accurate cost forecasting and input into business planning and budget process;
• Input into appropriate financial authorisation and PSCM documentation to support assigned projects such as FMs, AFEs, CADs & SSJs;
• Management of third-party suppliers in the execution of topsides engineering project delivery;
• Review of project deliverables;
• Coordinate discipline input into technical, safety and commercial reviews;
• Adhere to and comply with relevant Dana procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement;
• Identify business risks and provide input to the business risk register and cumulative risk process;
• Support the TA framework through technical assessment of identified risks;
• Occasional attendance offshore, on site and at meetings (regional and global) as may be required;Share and adopt best practices across the company and support and identify opportunities to enhance consistency where practicable;
• Maintain an appreciation of emerging discipline technologies that could improve the asset performance. Everyone working for or on behalf of client has the following responsibilities with regard to his or her work to:
• Familiarise with the Dana Policies, including the policies on HSE, Risk Management and Major Hazards;
• Familiarise with the One Dana Management System and its meaning for dayto-day work;
• Familiarise with the work and be aware of all associated risks for People, the Environment, Assets and Reputation (PEAR);
• Report any incident, near miss, hazards (unsafe acts/situations) and improvement suggestions;
• Know their roles and responsibilities; • Actively participate in any job or HSEQ training or instruction by or on behalf of Dana Petroleum;
• Use all provided means as intended and according to their purpose. Job specific skills and knowledge:
Applicable engineering degree or equivalent
Proven track record in project delivery and third-party management.
Experience of asset operations either in an onshore or offshore role
Experience of EPC work including at concept, FEED and detailed design.
Membership of / Chartership by a relevant industry body is beneficial but not essential.
Awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reports.
