Senior Project Engineer

My client is looking for a Senior Project Engineer in Burham.Based on site you will assist the Project Manager in managing the design, construction, commissioning and "close out" of projects, ensuring that they are completed in the most effective and efficient manner, without compromising health and safety and the environment whilst maintaining customer satisfaction.You will report directly to the Project Manager and the responsibilities will include:Assist with the Project Management strategyAssist in the production of the contract programme; monitor programme and produce progress reportsLiaise with subcontractors and suppliersLiaise with site management on design and procurement issuesAssist in the preparation of the construction completion and take over documentationTake all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentialityChallenge all stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation, doing something differently and improving working practises to realise opportunities and minimise risk - both to safety and commercial performance;Work closely with Project Quantity Surveyor to generate cost plans, input commitments and monitor project out-turn costs, reporting to the PM any variations and assist in preparation of mitigation plans About you:Project Engineering experienceExperience of delivering utilising NEC3 form of contractDegree or equivalent qualification in a construction related discipline.Preferably APMP or equivalentPrevious experience within water treatment (Non-Infrastructure)Previously mechanical project engineering background preferredWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company.
