Our piling and foundations team provides internationally recognized geo-technical engineering solutions to the UK construction industry and beyond. We have brought new ideas and technology to projects like HS2, Crossrail, The Gherkin, and the Amsterdam Metro. As part of our global community of experts, you’ll be working on some of the world’s most exciting civil engineering projects.
Currently, we are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to strengthen our ground engineering team to help deliver on a number of complex projects. This is a key role in which you will understand the design intent and requirements and ensure construction is proceeding in accordance with both.
You’ll:
Work with Construction Supervisor to ensure safe working is planned and executed.
Provide all relevant contract information in writing to the Construction Supervisor prior to contract start.
Understand the design intent and requirements and ensure construction is proceeding in accordance with both. Maintain records and dialogue with designer regarding any variations.
Liaise with the Commercial Team regarding contract documents, payment of accounts, and the timely preparation of records documenting changes to our work.
Formulate and manage project cost plan with the Project Manager.
Use structured management techniques including lean tools to systematically improve production and quality.
We’re looking for:
Understanding of civil engineering principles
Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practice.
Experience of Large Diameter Rotary Piling / CMC Mini-piling or Drilling and Grouting
Basic knowledge of NEC forms of contract through experience and training.
Competent in IT across routinely used software packages.
Relevant CSCS card
Training in health, safety & wellbeing and environmental management.
