Welcome to Perchang! We are a video game development company that creates mobile, PC, and occasionally console games. Our debut game, Perchang, was awarded Game of the Day by Apple and has been downloaded 6 million times. Forbes listed it as one of the top three apps to play when you've had enough of your family on Thanksgiving. We also knocked Minecraft off the top of the App Store charts for an hour. We have since released other successful games such as Warhammer Quest 2: The End Times and Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Programmer to join our small, dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C, C++, or C# programming with at least 10 years of professional experience. While experience with the Unity engine is desirable, we are open to all candidates from a video games background. You will be working on a new project currently in its early stages, set for release in late 2025. This role involves handling a huge variety of tasks, providing the opportunity to make significant contributions across multiple aspects of our projects and shaping the future of our next big title from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality code for game features and systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, artists, and other programmers to achieve project goals.
Optimize game performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the game engine and tools.
Stay current with industry trends and technologies to bring innovative solutions to the team.
Required Skills
10+ years of professional programming experience in C, C++, or C#.
Experience in the video games industry.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
Proven experience in developing and shipping software products.
Experience with game development tools and pipelines.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or Perforce.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Desirable Skills
Proficiency with the Unity engine.
Knowledge of other programming languages and platforms.
