Senior Production & Materials Planner / Planning Manager

A Global Food Manufacturer are currently recruiting for a Senior Production & Materials Planner / Planning Manager to join their team. There is scope for this role to take on leading the Warehouse function too so could be made into a Supply Chain Manager role.Food Manufacturing experience is essential for this role.The business operates with numerous different product bases, shapes and pack formats making the planning function complex. It requires a long term view, a good understanding of the factories capabilities and constraints and a close working relationship with the demand planner to ensure volume opportunities and constraints are collectively understoodSenior Production & Materials Planner / Planning Manager / Supply Chain Manager responsibilities include:Production Planning - Prepare weekly production plans and monitor performanceStock Management - Manage stock in line with minimum shelf life and instigate plans should issues ariseRaw Material Stock Levels - Place orders to ensure future production requirements are met, ensure that order acknowledgments are received and expedite orders when necessary whilst ensuring warehouse capacity is not exceededFinished Product Stock Levels - Track levels within agreed parameters to ensure minimal write off costs whilst maintaining customer service levelsSales Performance - Monitor sales performance by SKU and highlight anomalies or opportunitiesS&OP Data - Compile sales data and trends for the monthly S&OP meeting.Supplier Relationships - Develop appropriate relationships with key suppliers as appropriateContract call off - Monitor existing contract usage and flag issues as they ariseYou will be a Senior Production & Materials Planner / Planning Manager / Supply Chain Manager with food manufacturing experience.Advanced Excel / SAP / systems knowledge is essential.To apply please email a cv
