Senior Product Security Engineer

Job DescriptionGlobal quantitative and systematic investment manager requires a Senior Product Security Engineer to join their rapidly expanding global security function. The organisation is enjoying a period of rapid expansion and has opened technology and trading functions throughout Europe and Asia. Security is key to this growth and the firm has made significant investments in creating global security engineering and automated security operation functions. They would like to enhance their security capabilities with the appointment of a Senior Product Security Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring secure design principles as well as working collaboratively with engineering and product teams to integrate security considerations into the design and development stages. Background and ExperienceDegree in a science or numerate subjectAt least 5 years of experience in a product security/security engineering roleDeep understanding of security principles, techniques, and technologies related to software and product securityStrong technical background in software development and security, with proficiency in programming languages and security tools. RemitBuild and lead the product security team, setting objectives, and overseeing the development and implementation of security controls and processes Develop and implement security design standards and frameworks Collaborate with engineering and product teams to incorporate security considerations into product design and development Conduct threat modelling, vulnerability assessments, and security code reviews to identify potential security issues Develop and maintain a secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure security is integrated at every stage Educate and train engineering and product teams on security awareness and best practices Experience with threat modelling, risk assessment, and the development of mitigation strategiesThe Senior Product Security Engineer is a high-profile role with significant business and technology engagement. This a hybrid working role with 2/3 days expected in the London office. The compensation package includes; sign-on, a highly competitive base, and an exceptional annual bonus.
