Senior Product OwnerOur client are a UK based software company who develop world class solutions for high profile organisations across financial services, insurance, local government and healthcare; using a low code, visual development approach to rapidly develop applications that are truly transformational for their clients. They are looking for a Senior Product Owner, reporting to the Creative Delivery Lead to join their Professional Services Team. Purpose of Role: The role's purpose is to work with clients to support the design and development of digital applications or services. You will work closely with customers to help them deliver solutions that improve their daily operations and overcome their challenges by meticulously defining their requirements and playing a pivotal role in product specification, design and development across the delivery lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: · Define the Vision. Agree project goals and objectives with our customers and Account Management. Communicate the vision to the delivery team. · Refine Requirements. Work with our customers to clarify requirements and distil into agile user stories and user interface mock-ups. Deliver or contribute to requirements documents including definitions of AS-IS and TO-BE states. · Define the Release Plan. Use agile estimation practices to help the delivery team size delivery and create a sprint-based release plan that sets overall expectations on team size and delivery dates. · Manage the Product Backlog. Create the product backlog and prioritise work with project stakeholders on a sprint by sprint basis. · Monitor the implementation. Attend daily project stand-ups. Organise and facilitate sprint planning days, sprint reviews, retrospectives and refinement meetings. · Deliver to our customers. Arrange and facilitate customer user acceptance test and early life support phases. · Supporting Sales: Working with Solution Architects to ensure we capture, and fully understand, the development work underwritten in tender responses. · Ensuring Regulatory Compliance for Your Product: Ensure that the product is compliant with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards. · Navigating Industry Trends and Technology Impact: Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies and assessing how they may impact the product and the company's overall strategy. · Fostering Collaborative Knowledge Sharing and Mentorship: Makes regular significant contributions to knowledge base, improving process, sharing best practices and mentoring other Product Owners. Required Skills and Knowledge: · Product Lifecycle Management: Proficiency in managing all aspects of a product throughout its lifecycle, from conception to launch and beyond. · Agile Methodologies: Strong understanding of Agile principles, including Scrum, Kanban and iterative development. · User Story Creation: Ability to draft clear and concise user stories that capture business requirements. · Requirement Gathering: Experience in translating business needs into system requirements. Ability to model business systems and processes including user roles, permissions, workflow and reporting. · Crafting Wireframes: Ability to generate user interface wireframes using tools such as Figma or Adobe XD. · Backlog Management: Skill in maintaining and prioritising the product backlog. · Software Development: Solid understanding of software development processes and methodologies. Proven experience in delivering application software as a Senior Product Owner. · Web Technologies: Knowledge of web technologies, APIs, and integrations. · UX/UI Principles: Understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles. · Critical Thinking: Ability to analyse complex problems and find innovative solutions. · Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing requirements and technologies. · Hands-On Approach: A willingness to roll up your sleeves and actively contribute to project success. · Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with development teams, Solution Architects, Account Managers and customers. · Excellent Communication and leadership skills: Proactive communication skills to bridge gaps between technical and non-technical team members. · Customer Management: Ability to engage with customers, understand their needs and align product goals. · Market Understanding: Awareness of industry trends and customer needs. · Financial Literacy: Understanding of financial aspects related to product development. · Risk Management: Ability to assess and manage risks associated with product decisions. · Effective Time Management: Proficiency in handling multiple products or projects concurrently. Nice to Have: · Low-Code Platforms: Experience with low-code development tools and platforms. · DevOps Experience: Utilising Azure DevOps for efficient product backlog management and streamlined delivery. This is a hybrid role with an expectation of being in the office in Bedford 1-2 days per week. A full UK driving license is essential.INDM
