A pivotal part of the L&T business, the Product Management Department is responsible for the full range of branded and factored products sold around the world.Product Management is run through a structure of Category Management, with each manager responsible for a defined set of "families". As product champions, they are the go to people for analysis, performance review, pricing, completion and curriculum relevance.Senior Product Managers within the team have a set of "families" to manage and have over arching responsibility for those of their direct reports too.A key part of the L&T proposition is product development. The inception starts and finishes within Product Management, with the Senior PM holding a significant role (both internally and externally) with the development and launch of each L&T product.Bristol (BS2 0RA)Full-time£Competitive + bonus up to 5% annual salary Responsibilities The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for managing key top-selling products within the business. This includes overseeing product market positioning, curriculum needs, target markets, competition analysis, pricing strategies, performance reviews, and providing support to the commercial team. They will also play a crucial role in addressing and resolving product issues throughout the product's lifecycle.In addition, the Senior Product Manager will be expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the broader medical simulation environment and its relationship to the company's L&T proposition.Regarding new product development, their responsibilities will encompass concept research and viability assessment, overall project management until product launch, cross-functional collaboration with Research & Development and Production teams, coordination and education of the commercial team for product launches, and conducting customer/user research such as usability testing, surveys, and monitoring of feedback and complaints.Furthermore, the Senior Product Manager will take the lead in integrating digital technology into new product development to enhance training effectiveness. They will also be in charge of overseeing and managing bi-annual pricing updates across all business sectors and products, as well as coordinating quarterly range reviews for the same.The role will also involve the development of a Community platform for idea generation and concept testing, as well as designing and delivering product training to Sales and internal teams. Mentorship of a team of product managers, executives, and graduates will be essential, including providing guidance and support for their professional growth. This will entail conducting regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports to set objectives and review performance, as well as identifying training opportunities to enhance the team's product management expertise.The Senior Product Manager will be expected to promote cross-functional collaboration with engineering, R&D, marketing, and sales teams, and to develop product management career paths and succession planning strategies. Additionally, they will play a pivotal role in mediating and resolving conflicts to maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.Lastly, the Senior Product Manager will share additional responsibilities with another Senior Product Manager, overseeing and briefing the entire Product Management team in areas such as conducting Range Reviews, managing Pricing and Pricelist, organizing Global Sales Summits, and exploring third-party New Product Development concepts. Requirements Degree qualified or equivalentExperience of managing projects from “cradle to grave”+ 4 years’ experience in product management role, with technology being a part of the products portfolio.Proven ability to apply knowledge and experience to a medium sized company setting.Practical, hands-on approach, and an interest in how things work with the confidence to constructively challenge when they could be improved.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Numerate, ability to analyse and create conclusions from dataGood planning and presentation skills.A medical qualification or experience within the medical sector.Having worked within the simulation industryPeople management and leadership experienceTHE PACKAGEIn return we offer a competitive salary and a performance-related bonus based on personal objectives that pays up to 5% of your salary annually, study support and the chance to progress in a rapidly growing company.We have recently introduced a new flexible working policy; it currently allows employees (following a probationary period) to work from home one day a week (if their work can be done from home) and also to work longer hours during the week and finish early on a Friday.
