Role Description We're looking for an experienced Procurement professional who wants to build on their Procurement career and join our high performing team.In this role you'll be supporting the development of and leading the implementation of the Marketing Category strategy.This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work at a more strategic level as you'll be optimising the value delivered for all Allianz UK marketing teams, working with external suppliers and internal stakeholders (up to Director-level) as well as gaining exposure to wider Allianz Group procurement projects.
Key Responsibilities
Working closely with Allianz Group colleagues from the One Procurement team to support coordination of marketing activities across various markets
Coordinating and leading procurement initiatives, conducting tactical and strategic sourcing projects, aligning with the Allianz UK Procurement plan, the Global Sourcing Policy (GSP), global initiatives and wider Allianz business projects
Developing effective Business Partnering relationships with all associated business areas and stakeholders
Engaging proactively with stakeholders to ensure best value solutions and all relevant legal/regulatory/technical requirements are included in our requirements and embedded in our contracts
Conducting market analysis, tenders and contract negotiations with suppliers based on strategic aspects and TCO approach
Managing risk through robust due diligence practices in alignment with existing procurement guidance and processes
Supporting the wider business by continually reviewing the efficiency and security of current data supply arrangements, ensuring that contracts remain in force, effective and up to date with market trends, price, customer service, competitiveness and regulatory change
Supporting business partners understand the P2P process by working closely with P2P Helpdesk
Working collaboratively with the Strategy, Performance & Enablement (SPE) team to maximise delivery of sourcing activity in line with Global Sourcing & Procurement (GSP) standards
Leveraging the use of existing suppliers, ensuring demand is challenged where necessary and matched accordingly to existing global or local agreements
Delivering end-to-end commercial, contractual and relationship lifecycle value, specifically ensuring optimum achievement of business requirements
Skills and Experience
Demonstrable stakeholder management ability with the gravitas to interact and influence at senior level to deliver effective Procurement strategies across Allianz UK
Sourcing expertise and in-depth knowledge of the sourcing process to ensure optimum levels of value are delivered
Good understanding of the Marketing landscape is advantageous
Strong leadership skills and behaviours in line with Allianz UK 'People Attributes'
Strong knowledge of commercial models and approaches/techniques necessary to achieve best in class sourcing deals
Knowledge of Contract Law and ability to work alongside our in-house legal team for contract negotiations
Demonstrable experience at having successfully drafted contracts and associated schedules of legal Agreements
Proven ability to deliver substantial cost benefit and improved customer outcomes
Strong negotiation skill set and ability to influence outcomes
Dynamic and self-motivated style with an ability to deliver at pace and drive change
Strong attention to detail and capability to assess and mitigate relationship issues and commercial risk
Experience of working with Ariba or other strategic e-sourcing platforms is advantageous
Basic understanding of the P2P process is advantageous
CIPS qualified or working towards qualification (preferred)
Full UK driving license
