Project DetailsA fantastic Senior Procurement Manager job based in Leeds offers the opportunity to work with a team of talented procurement professionals to deliver excellent strategic procurement and contract advice. This procurement job includes the opportunity to provide a full procurement service from the beginning of projects to the end with one of your employer’s most important clients.There will be opportunities for international and national travel to help and manage commissions.
Responsibilities and DutiesProvide clients with procurement advice on important projectsProvide specialist advice to clients in all sectors about procurement strategyTo manage procurement services from start to finish on large-scale construction-related projectsTo support the development of the company’s services to clientsTo provide procurement support to ensure goals are achieved at a team levelTo support proposal documents and bid preparation work
Desired Skills and ExperienceStrong experience with developing key procurement strategies and/or documentation that complies with OJEU regulationsStrong experience with contract managementOJEU procurement experienceExperience with strategic and supply chains is essentialEssential to have cross-sector experience with a strong background in procurementStrong experience with contract development and contract drafting such as terms, negotiation, and awardStrong experience with commercial modellingIt is desirable to have SC clearanceConfident and able to work independentlyAble to manage work/business/career development activitiesPossessing excellent communication, adaptability, and a determination for success
Qualifications/Educational RequirementsA degree relating to quantity surveying, law, or procurement is preferredMember of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) preferred
