Senior Process Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated experienced engineer to become part of our dynamic team on a mission to make a difference. You will be instrumental in designing, testing and in delivering our technologies into the water sector and other industrial sectors.
METzero Technologies LTD is a spin-out company from Newcastle University which aims to commercialise microbial electrochemical technologies to revolutionise wastewater treatment through circular resource recovery. Key Responsibilities:
Leading the team in designing and constructing key elements of the microbial electrolysis pilot units, bringing innovative solutions from concept to reality.
Developing system operating procedures, manual protocols and safety documents
Managing suppliers and partners in a collaborative manner to ensure effective delivery of products and foster long-term relationships
Analysis of
individual components and system performance to drive continuous improvement
Project managing the delivery of the company’s technology development programs to ensure outputs are provided on time, to quality and on budget
Play a key role in METzero Technologies' growth, contributing to both our technology and our team's development.
Managing budget responsibly
Generating financial and technical reports to inform both our strategy and our stakeholders

Essential Skills & Criteria:
Ability to carry out the key responsibilities of this role.
A minimum of an MEng in chemical or civil engineering or related field.
Demonstrated excellence in a relevant field, whether through academic achievements, projects, or previous roles.
Project Management experience.
Critical thinking and experimental analysis.
Ability to plan and work under pressure to deliver results and meet timelines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A full, clean driving license.

Salary Range: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Expected start date: June/July 2024
