Currently experiencing growth, we seek an experienced Senior Process Engineer, in the water and wastewater sector, to join our dynamic team.ROLEThis is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Process Engineer based at Edinburgh North SA. Responsibilities include technical evaluation of water and wastewater treatment and recycling applications, process design, management plan submissions, proposal development, commissioning, customer interaction, and supporting sales, production, and operations teams.You will work on challenging and complex water and wastewater projects across the entire lifecycle including planning, options development, design, and construction. Your collaborative style will embrace the stakeholders to ensure alignment and expectations are clearly defined and agreed. You will actively contribute to creating a culture of customer service excellence and ensure the teams goals are achieved. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKSDevelop process engineering designs in line with Liquitek guidelines and good engineering practice, ensuring cost-effective solutions and client compliance.Represent the company in technical and commercial meetings with stakeholders.Support Business Development through technical presentations and client meetings.Review and approve process designs from the Project Services department.Prepare conceptual process engineering design deliverables for tenders and studies.Participate in HAZOP/HAZAN studies, value engineering exercises, and design reviews.Mentor process engineers within the team.Prepare process designs and technical proposals for studies and tenders.Conduct plant audits and provide process expertise for troubleshooting and optimisation.Collaborate with various engineering disciplines.Lead technical evaluation, process design, and management plan submissions.Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and sustainability.Analyse process performance, prepare reports, and manage costs.Establish standards for quality control, inspection, and maintenance.Lead safety initiatives.Participate in project management activities, including progress tracking and risk management.Support business development efforts and stay updated on industry trends.Manage functions to achieve outcomes and ensure legislative compliance.Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.Foster a safety culture and collaborative team environment.Manage contract administration and sub-contract arrangements.Coordinate design processes internally and with consulting engineers.Work with the lead Project Manager to execute project governance and reporting requirements.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.Minimum of 5 years' experience in process engineering, preferably in water and wastewater treatment.Strong knowledge in treatment planning, design, and management.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in process modelling and development of Process Systems Dynamics.Ability to analyse plant technical information and troubleshoot operating parameters.Proficient in developing process control system narratives and automation requirements.Strong organisational and communication skills.Experience in leading and coordinating diverse groups and stakeholders.Ability to deliver high-quality reports and presentations.PERSONAL CRITERIA:Strong stakeholder management skills, both internal and external.Collaborative attitude and ability to thrive in an agile environment.Genuine passion for continuous learning and innovation in engineering.Positive attitude and desire to work in a skilled team.You will be a key member that will ‘bring ideas to life’ through a combination of technical skills, experience and innovation.You will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. On a technical level, you will have hands on experience in Process Engineering in the water industry, ideally in water and wastewater treatment, recycled and/or advanced treatment. You will have strong knowledge in treatment planning, design and design management.WHAT WE OFFERMeaningful work with recognition for your efforts in an inclusive and diverse organisation. BENEFITS OF BEING A TEAM MEMBERStable, diverse, and growing industries.Fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.Supportive and encouraging management team.Recognition for efforts.Learning and development opportunities.PPE provided.Family-friendly, flexible working conditions.Positive, inclusive, and supportive culture.Novated leasing available.Superannuation salary sacrifice.Annual work anniversary reward.Employee Assistance Program.CULTURE As an employer of choice, Century Group, upholds strong company values and prioritises the personal and professional growth of its employees.
