We’re happy to discuss hybrid, part-time and flexible working hours, patterns and locations to suit you and our business About the Opportunity Our Intelligent Engineering Solutions Business is recruiting for adaptable, forward thinking Senior Process Engineers to join our process engineering capability in support of an increasing portfolio of projects. Our projects cover the full project lifecycle from small feasibility studies to commissioning on major projects and frameworks and everything in between. We deliver first class designs as part of multidiscipline teams across our diverse portfolio of projects covering topics such as:
advanced modular reactors nuclear decommissioning defence fusion technology green hydrogen chemicals
To meet our desire to support the clean energy transition alongside the needs of our clients to develop solutions in sometimes challenging environments, we utilise our knowledge and experience built across our history in across diverse sectors, particularly in highly regulated industries such as nuclear and chemicals. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for taking a leading role in the process design development for our projects.You will work within a multi-discipline team to deliver the process design which typically includes key process engineering activities, process safety assessments, and participation in HAZOPs and design reviews. Responsibilities will include;
Providing functional input to own projects, including, where relevant, leading the input of other engineers to ensure engineering delivery meets scope, time, cost and quality. Ensure that own work and that of more junior engineers on a project complies with all necessary corporate, departmental and legislative requirements and procedures, to guarantee that the necessary consistency and quality of delivery is maintained. Carry out engineering calculations and check the work of more junior staff to deliver a quality functional input to projects. Proactively generate value adding options within projects to offer to clients. Plan and prioritise own work and that of more junior staff so that deadlines are met. Provide functional support and guidance to more junior staff to develop them as individuals and the capability of the team as a whole. Carry out commissioning activities at client site as required, to ensure successful engineering handover
Here’s what you’ll need:
Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or equivalent. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively and independently Chartered Engineer status with a recognised professional body (e.g. IChemE) - preferred Experience of working in highly regulated environments would be advantageous
