Senior / Principal Safety & Environmental Engineer

Job Description:
The Principal Safety & Environmental Engineer will support projects by generating Safety & Environmental Case documentation and through-life support products.
Your duties:
Conducting Safety Analysis (e.g., HAZOPs, FFA, FTA, FMECA) in line with safety processes and standards.
Performing environmental assessments following guidance from Def Stan 00-051.
Generating safety requirements to meet customer targets.
Presenting safety and environmental arguments to stakeholders.
Collaborating within multi-disciplined teams.
Supporting audits and producing reports as required.
Qualifications, skills and experience required:
Experience: Experience within the Defence industry is advantageous
Degree: Degree, HND, or HNC in Engineering or Safety Management, or equivalent
Familiarity: Familiarity with standards such as IEC 61508, Def Stan 00-056, and Def Stan 00-051
Knowledge: Knowledge of safety/reliability analysis techniques
Awareness: Awareness of Risk Assessments and ALARP justifications.
