Not only can you manage your time spent between the office and at home, but you can flex your core hours to suit your professional and personal commitments.We have opportunities in both our Belfast and Dublin offices.You will join our TransportdepartmentAs our new Senior / Principal Engineer (depending on experience) you will be part of a dynamic Highways team in Ramboll based in Ireland. We are actively involved in a number of major highway projects including the A5 Western Transport Corridor, Active Travel and Urban Development project for NTA. We are also supporting delivery of exciting Smart Mobility / Active Travel design commissions nationally.Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:Leading highway drainage technical analysis and design in accordance with relevant standards.Working in a team environment with other project engineers to support coordinated and sustainable designs.Checking and reviewing of highway drainage design packages.Applying and promoting policies relating to health and safety (including CDM Regulations), quality, and training.Leading design and implementation of sustainable solutions.Provide guidance, instruct, motivate, and manage staff.Provide input on bids and contract documentation.Your starting point for constant growth:From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is:BEng/MEng (Hons) Degree in Civil Engineering.Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer.Good working knowledge of highways drainage design, DMRB, MCHW, DMURS, TII specifications (as relevant).Good working experience working on NTA and/or DfI project control phases and requirements.Experienced in the use of industry standard software including MicroDrainage used in conjunction with Civil3D.Good knowledge of BIM procedures.Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:Will have a proven record as a competent designer on a number of projects, with a confident and professional manner coupled with excellent communication skills when engaging with clients and colleagues alike.
