Your new company Hays are partnered with one of Manchester's leading and award-winning Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering consultancies with a fantastic history of delivering innovative design solutions to their clients across a wide range of sectors.They are looking to further improve their Geo-Environmental capabilities with a motivated and independent engineer in a role that would utilise your technical and personable skills.Your new role As a Senior or Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer, your role will include the following responsibilities:Designing and managing a variety of geo-environmental and geotechnical ground investigation and interpretative projects for both external clients and for other teams within the wider business.Providing technical support at all stages of assigned projects and controlling project costsOverseeing ground investigationsContract administrationSoil and rock logging to current geotechnical standards, including laboratory schedulingGeotechnical analysis and designWhat you'll need to succeed BEng or BSc or equivalent in Civil, Geology or Geotechnical Engineering or similarTypically, a further degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnics or Environmental Science or equivalent would be desirableRegistered with a suitable professional body and either be Chartered or anticipate gaining chartered status with a relevant institution (e.g. Geol Soc/CIWEM/ICE) in the near futureTypically, it would require at least around 7-10 years of specific relevant experience.A thorough understanding of geology, ground investigation works, engineering geology and geotechnical and geo-environmental engineeringWhat you'll get in return Competitive salary in line with your experience, ranging from £45,000 - £60,000 + annual discretionary bonus based on personal and company financial performanceContributory Pension SchemeFree life assurance coverA flexible benefits programme including the option to buy additional holidays and private health careWe encourage Continuing Professional Development and, as a Registered Practice with the Geological Society or Institute of Civil Engineers, we are committed to supporting candidates along the pathway to Chartership.What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
