Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer | London (Hybrid) | Up to £70,000
An esteemed Building Services Engineering Consultancy in London are currently seeking a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer with preferably Chartered status. They’re a small yet dynamic building services engineering consultancy, known for our exceptional work on a variety of exciting projects across sectors including Stadia, Theatres, Museums, Leisure, Residential, and Commercial. In this role, you'll lead the development of Building Services designs across diverse projects, collaborating closely with leading architects to deliver innovative solutions. They offer a hybrid working model with very flexible arrangements. They are looking for a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer that:
Possesses enthusiasm and expertise in design, technical, and software skills.
Enjoys collaborative, multi-disciplinary work.
Is ready to take responsibility for projects from inception to completion.
Holds a relevant engineering degree and preferably Chartered status.
Demonstrates a commitment to professional development and thrive on challenging work.
Responsibilities:
Leading the design and specification of Electrical Building Services systems.
Overseeing detailed calculations using industry-standard digital tools.
Managing project elements, including budget considerations.
Creating technical specifications using NBS Chorus.
Representing the company in meetings with clients and contractors.
Conducting site surveys, inspections, and monitoring works.
Collaborating with architects and other designers to develop comprehensive designs.
Adhering to quality, environmental, and governance processes.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
A degree in Building Services Engineering or related field; Chartered status with CIBSE/IET preferred.
Extensive experience in Electrical Building Services Engineering.
Proficiency in Amtech, Dialux/Relux, NBS, and Microsoft packages.
Excellent report-writing skills.
Experience attending design team and client meetings.
Design experience in sports, commercial, or residential buildings is preferred.
