The Senior Principal Designer role
The Senior Principal Designer will be instrumental in supporting the team by managing a diverse portfolio of projects. This role offers the opportunity to work across various sectors, thereby broadening your experience and expertise. Responsibilities will include:
- Leading health and safety management on projects from inception through to completion, ensuring all aspects of design and construction comply with health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Collaborating closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to integrate health and safety considerations into project designs effectively.
- Conducting risk assessments and devising strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring a safe working environment for all involved.
- Providing expert advice on health and safety matters, influencing project designs to enhance safety and compliance.
The Senior Principal Designer
- Extensive experience as a Principal Designer, with a proven track record in delivering health and safety consultancy services within the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation and a solid understanding of the construction design and management process.
- Relevant qualifications in health and safety, such as NEBOSH, and a strong background in design or construction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with teams and stakeholders across various disciplines.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality outcomes.
